World Collaborates with Zoom and Tinder for Enhanced Human Verification in AI Era

Friday marked a significant upgrade by World—formerly known as Worldcoin—with the launch of their enhanced World ID feature. This new development introduces an account-based system for human verification, integrating platforms like Tinder, Zoom, and Docusign.

Co-founded by OpenAI’s Sam Altman, World has rolled out the World ID app to streamline managing and utilizing human verification across various online services. The standalone app marks a departure from its earlier wallet-based identity verification strategy.

World is recognized for its Orb device, which employs iris scanning to verify humans for numerous digital applications. Although users were incentivized with the Worldcoin (WLD) cryptocurrency—currently priced at $0.286 after a 10% drop—the company now offers additional verification methods beyond the Orb.

The unveiling included the launch of Concert Kit, powered by World ID. This tool allows artists to reserve tickets for verified individuals, addressing bot-driven scalping issues by requiring human validation for event access. Anderson .Paak, a Grammy-winning artist, showcased this technology at the event.

Collaborations are underway with Vercel and Okta: Vercel will integrate human-in-the-loop verification into its new open source Workflow SDK, while Okta is developing Human Principal to help API builders ensure an agent is backed by a real person.

The rollout is imminent in the U.S., as announced via Twitter on April 17, 2026. The Match Group, parent company of Tinder, will expand their partnership with World ID for American users. Additionally, new business agreements have been made with Zoom and Docusign.

Zoom plans to incorporate World’s deepfake detection technology to identify fraudulent content, with firms like VanEck currently testing the system. Docusign will leverage World ID to verify digital signatures’ authenticity.

Worldcoin now boasts 18 million verified individuals across 160 nations. This expansion underscores the critical need for human verification amidst rising AI-generated internet traffic. Tom Lee, Chairman of BitMine Immersion Technologies and a board member at Eightco, emphasized that with AI’s rapid advancements, verified human identity has become crucial for social media platforms and financial institutions.
