Tom Duff Gordon, Coinbase’s vice president of international policy, is transitioning from the U.S.-listed cryptocurrency firm to a new role at OpenAI. According to a Coinbase spokesperson via email, Duff Gordon will take up the position as head of EMEA Policy at OpenAI after spending nearly four years with Coinbase. Before joining Coinbase, he had an eight-and-a-half-year tenure as a banker at Credit Suisse. He has yet to comment on his departure. Known for his expertise in crypto regulations, Duff Gordon recently highlighted that U.K. banks are denying millions of customers access to legal and compliant services by not differentiating between FCA-registered firms with low fraud rates and those posing higher risks.
